Glory be to God for how far he has been with us and kept us; we do not take His good deeds for granted and we are very grateful.
Here I want to talk about some Businesses that a Christian should not in any way invest in. you will agree with me that there are some business ventures that does not please the Lord and whatever it is that does not please the Lord is a sin and that can affect your relationship with God.
Job the greatest business man in the Bible did not go in to businesses that can affect his spiritual life, even at the point when he lost everything, he didn’t think of a canal way to get back up but still held on to God, and his integrity make God shower upon him unprecedented blessings and breakthroughs.
Some people at this point they will be thinking of the easy way out and will lead them to the bad businesses.
God Himself knows about business if not he would not have put Adam in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. (Genesis 2:15)
It is not hard work that makes someone rich, it is also not the amount of businesses you venture in to and it is not because you are in the business that is leading in the market right now; the Bible says that it is the blessings of the Lord that maketh rich and adds no sorrow.
God also said ‘I have given you power to get wealth’ ( Deuteronomy 8:18 ).
It’s important we know that, Our Business is not what brings wealth or riches, its the Blessings of God that comes upon what we do that makes it great, our Business and whatever we do, is only but a Channel, through which God supplies us his Goodness and blessings.
This is to help you do the right business and to do it the right way.
1. Video Vixen Business
In recent times music video vixens have continued to spring up. This is one very wrong business that a good Christian shouldn’t engage in. This is because it in no way depicts one’s true identity in God
2. Strippers Club
This is a no-no. This is because of the level of immorality that may be committed by strippers and those who come for the strippers. This type of business to a great extent hampers further spiritual growth.
3. Hotel for Sex Workers
If you have the intention to start a business for sex workers then you may on the wrong path as a Christian. When you do this kind of business, then you automatically lose your stance with God.
4. Pornography Dating Sites
A good Christian must not be caught starting a pornography dating site. This is because of the addiction it might steer in some folks. Plus, you risk living a watered down spiritual life when you do this.
5. Adult Toys Shop
As a good Christian when you go into the business of selling adult toys, you help increase the level of immorality especially amongst the single folks. Therefore you have got to desist from this if you have the intention.
A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but the just weight is his delight. (Proverbs 11:1)
6. Drinking Bar Business
As a good Christian you shouldn’t own a drinking bar. This is because of the huge volume of alcohol that may be consumed there. Also, you would have to accommodate smoking and in some cases strippers which might affect your relationship with God.
7. Brewery/ Brewpub
When you profess to be a good Christian, then having a brewing pub or related business might do you more harm than good. Instead of you to be depopulating hell, you are adding to it because you are meant to save their souls not destroy them. Hence, it is best that you steer clear such ventures.
8. Betting Club
Betting can make you lose lot money or assets that are useful to you. This business is one of the businesses that you must not engage in. This is because of the nature of deals that are being done at this club. It does discourage further walk with God.
9. Casino/gambling House
Gambling to a very large extent is prohibited in the bible. Gambling can put you at risk and it can make you lose a lot of things and even worse if someone gets addicted to it. Therefore, a true Christian has no business in this venture at all.
Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labor shall increase. (Proverbs 13:11)
10. Stolen Goods Business
It is not good to steal and as a matter of fact you that sell the stolen goods are not different from the thief yourself. If you have a connection with people who steal goods, then consider not starting a stolen goods business. This is in no way good for a true Christian
11. Illegal Arms Business
If you have not been licensed to sell arms, and you go ahead to start the business, then you are doing the wrong thing as a Christian. This is because when you do this, you risk selling your arms to armed robbers, and miscreants.
12. Internet Fraud
It is highly unacceptable in the sight of God that you engage in internet fraud as a good Christian. This activity does not in any way draw you closer to God. Rather take you far away.
“Do not defraud or rob your neighbor…” (Leviticus 19:13)
13. Cosmetic Surgery Business
Bible says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made; therefore having to start a cosmetic surgery business may counter that.
14. Tattoo Shop
As a good Christian it becomes important that you know that tattoo business is not a good one. This is because of the weird reasons most people have tattoos and some of the weird places the tattoos are placed. And it is not acceptable in the Bible.
15. Human Trafficking Business
It is pure wickedness not to only do this but even to think of it. What good Christian would possibly sell a fellow human? It is a very bad move for a Christian to sell people.
16. Abortion Business
For people in the medical line, you might have a lot of experience about this and it might be giving a lot of money to those doing it but as a believer there is always going to be a discerning of the Holy Spirit in your heart to not do it because it is a sin and will not please the Lord. It is a grave business to engage in as a good Christian.
17. Tobacco Farming
Tobacco is harmful to the human body. If you have a passion for farming, then you must ensure that you do not add tobacco farming to one of your crops.
18. Crack Business
You should not go into any business of selling crack, Whether it is legal or illegal it does more harm to your Christian faith than good.
19. Cannabis Farming
The Christian faith prohibits this type of business and you must learn not to engage in this if you do not want to spoil your relationship with God.
20. Cigar Lounge
Much more than the fact that cigarette is dangerous to human health, the Christian faith prohibits such. This is because of the effect it leaves and the immorality that may be committed thereafter.
There are the 20 businesses that a good Christian must not into.
The Bible says “The plans of the diligent lead to profits as surely as haste leads to poverty. (Proverbs 21:15)
So this is to tell you that your plans are not permitted to fail and they will work. The Bible also says that the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut short.
So just do what is right and God will reward you in due season.
You see, the Bible says, “Righteousness exalts a Nation, sin is a reproach ( Proverbs 14:34 ).
So Righteousness is what births Greatness, is what brings about might and Prosperity, doing the ungodly and unrighteous will only bring about sin and reproach to any nation and any people, Let me share you an experience I had, I use to know a woman in my community, she sells Beverages, Drink, Bread and all that you need to buy in a Supermarket, I love this woman, because she is a Christian, right from the way, she relates and talk with me, you will know she’s a christian, but one day like that, I just realize she sells Alcohol, I was so disappointed, it was so painful, for whatsoever reason, it is very wrong for a believer to sell Alcohol, you are driving people to hell by what you sell to them, God is not happy, heaven is not please, because men are losing their soul just because of what she sells, and this is wickedness, because it is an indirect way of promoting the Kingdom of Darkness.
We must beware, and be watchful, God does not what you to lose him in the bid of trying to acquire wealth, trust and Love God more than any other thing in Life, even more than yourself, for the Love of Money is the root of all Evil.
